Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Later, she was morning news anchor at WCBD TV and acted as an investigative reporter. Her reporting in Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI instances. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell then worked for NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. In addition to her current job as the lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and in addition to Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows to The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She also hosts the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
